What to do if my waterfalls or water features slow or stop flowing?

If your waterfalls, water features or overflow from your spa have slowed or stopped flowing, it could be a dirty filter or water feature pump issue. More often than not, your pool filter needs cleaned. Pine needles, leaves, dirt, pollen, pet dander and oils, and human oils will be caught in your filter.

How often does my filter need cleaned? We recommend that cartridge filters are cleaned every 4-6 months and DE filter should be cleaned every 2-4 months. Some pools, especially high usage pools, pools where pets swim regularly, or pools with heavy debris fall, may need their filter cleaned more often.

Fall pool tip:

Fall in Texas is the perfect time to have your filter cleaned because it is almost time to use your pool heater, and your pool heater requires good water flow to function properly.
